ACCESS INFORMATION

We want everyone to have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience at Live at York Museum Gardens.

This information explains the accessible facilities available, how to book accessible tickets, what to expect at the event and how to contact our Access Team.

  • Choose the accessible ticket that best meets your needs.

There are three accessible ticket options:

    - Accessible Viewing Platform
For wheelchair and mobility scooter users and people who, for medical reasons, are unable to stand at all during the show.

    - Accessible Ambulant Area
A ground-level seated area for people who may need to sit down at some points during the show for medical reasons.

    - Accessible Standing Ticket
For customers who do not need a seated area but require an Essential Companion / Personal Assistant ticket. This is within the general admission standing area and is not a separate accessible standing space.

    Book your accessible ticket

Accessible tickets should be purchased through the events tab on our website or through See Tickets- please note that accessible tickets are not available via any other ticketing websites. This is so we can manage the service in the most effective way.

    BOOK ACCESSIBLE TICKETS HERE

You should only purchase one accessible ticket for a party of two consisting of:

    • One access customer

    • One Essential Companion / Personal Assistant

Please do not purchase multiple accessible tickets unless more than one person in your party requires an accessible ticket.

Only one Essential Companion / Personal Assistant ticket is available per access customer.

Additional friends or relatives cannot join you in the Accessible Viewing Platform or Accessible Ambulant Area. This allows us to accommodate as many access customers as possible who need these facilities.

Changing your Personal Assistant during the event

If you have purchased an Accessible Viewing Platform or Accessible Ambulant Area ticket, your Essential Companion / Personal Assistant will also receive a Personal Assistant pass.

This pass is interchangeable during the event.

For example, if you attend with a group of friends or family, your Essential Companion / Personal Assistant can change during the event if you wish.

    1. Complete the questionnaire within 14 days of purchasing your ticket.

    2. Provide documentation to support your accessible ticket purchase.

Failure to complete the questionnaire and provide the required documentation could result in your ticket being cancelled.

    Supporting documentation

Customers who purchase an accessible ticket will receive an email from See Tickets with a link to an access questionnaire. The questionnaire must be completed within 14 days of purchasing your ticket.

    Supporting documentation will be required.

Where possible, we kindly ask that you submit a copy of your Access Card as your supporting documentation.

You can apply for an Access Card here.

An Access Card is our preferred form of supporting documentation. It provides us with the information we need to assess your access requirements and plan the event appropriately, without requiring you to share sensitive personal or medical information.

This helps us process applications efficiently while protecting your privacy.

If you do not currently have an Access Card, we are happy to accept the following alternative forms of supporting documentation:

    • ✔️ PIP

    • ✔️ DLA

    • ✔️ Nimbus Card

    • ✔️ Registered Severely Sight Impaired Card

    • ✔️ Assistance Dog Card

    • ✔️ Medical Professional Letter

    • ✔️ Other supporting evidence

    • ✔️ Personal statement

If any documentation contains personal information that you would prefer not to share, we encourage you to redact this before submitting it, provided the relevant information relating to your access requirements remains visible.

  • We recognise that some guests may have more recent temporary impairments or a change in health circumstances and, where possible, we will do our best to accommodate their access requirements. However, there is a set capacity for the accessible areas, this is to ensure the safety and comfort of our access customers and their Personal Assistants (PAs). Once this capacity has been reached, we are unfortunately unable to issue any further accessible viewing area tickets.

Temporary impairments including those caused by pregnancy or recent injuries, such as broken bones or recent surgeries, these are not eligible for the full Access Scheme provisions.

To help ensure our events are as accessible and inclusive as possible for all customers with disabilities and access requirements, all accessible viewing area tickets are made available from the start of the sales period. This approach provides the fairest opportunity for customers to secure the facilities they need, while allowing us to manage the capacities of these areas as effectively as possible.

If you have a temporary impairment or a health condition which has developed since you purchased your tickets and will effect your visit please access@futuresoundgroup.com

Although we cannot guarantee availability in the accessible viewing areas, we will do our best to discuss suitable options and provide assistance where possible within what is reasonably possible.

  • Wheelchair users are welcome in the general admission areas of the event.

For the safety of wheelchair users and other attendees, please:

    Important

Unless you have pre-arranged accessible seated tickets, this is a standing event.

  • We will not be using strobe lighting at this event.

  • Plan your exit

For a safe and efficient exit after the show, all customers will leave the event via Museum Street.

This means that we are unable to provide a separate access exit lane.

If you would prefer not to navigate through a large crowd, we recommend staying inside the venue until the majority of customers have left.

If you have a ticket for the Accessible Viewing Platform, or the Accessible Ambulant Area you can remain on the platform while the main crowd leaves.

This normally takes around 20 minutes after the show ends.

Once the majority of customers have left, you can make your way out via Museum Street with fewer people around.

  • Customers who have purchased an accessible ticket will receive a map of the site from their ticket outlet closer to the day of the event.

You will also receive an information sheet about the event.
